Arnica Flower, also known as Arnica montana, is a genus of perennial, herbaceous plants that grow one to two feet with vibrant flowers similar to daisies and bright green leaves. Stems are round and hairy, ending in one to three flower stalks with flowers two to three inches across. Arnica flowers help to heal bruises, as well as improve carpal tunnel and help to relieve sprains, muscle pain, and other inflammation.

St. John’s Wort, also known as hypericum perforatum, is a flowering plant that has been used as a medicinal herb for its antidepressant and anti-inflammatory properties for over 2,000 years. The St. John’s Wort plant is native to Europe but it is commonly found in the United States and Canada. St. John’s Wort is most commonly used as an antidepressant, to help to relieve PMS symptoms, and to improve mood during menopause. It is also used to fight inflammation and skin irritations, as well as to improve symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder.

Marigold, also known as calendula, is an annual, herbaceous plant that naturally grows around western Europe, southeastern Asia and the Mediterranean. It’s a common plant in home gardens today, as it is the same species as marigolds and is often called by the alternative name pot marigold. The bright yellow to deep orange flowers contain high levels of antioxidants in the form of carotenoids and flavonoids, as well as lutein and beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. It also has fatty acids, with the two dominant fatty acids being calendic and linoleic acids. Additionally, the flower heads are rich in oxygenated oils like monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. Aside from the usages listed above, calendula can also be used to help relieve wound and ulcer pain, may discourage cancer, and also has strong antimicrobial and antiviral properties.

Cayenne, also known as Capsicum frutescens, is a shrub that originated in Central and South America and now grows in subtropical and tropical climates. Cayenne pepper is used to help with digestion, including relieving upset stomach, slow intestinal gas, stop stomach pain, stop diarrhea and as a natural remedy for cramps.

Habanero Peppers, also known as Capsicum Chinense, is a hot variety of chili. Unripe habaneros are green and they color as they mature. The most common color variants are orange and red, but the fruit may also be white, brown, yellow, green, or purple. In addition to its culinary use, habanero peppers have several positive effects on the human body like improvement in blood circulation and a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Ginger Root, also known as Zingiber officinale, has long been used in herbal medicine for its digestive properties. The health benefits of ginger are largely due to its antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and content of therapeutic compounds like gingerol, shogaol, paradol and zingerone. Ginger root helps to treat nausea and morning sickness and can help to regulate blood sugar.

Wintergreen oil is a beneficial essential oil that is extracted from the leaves of the Gaultheria procumbens evergreen plant. Wintergreen is commonly used to help with headaches, chronic nerve pain, PMS symptoms, and arthritis. The leaves are also beneficial for preventing and treating digestion problems, including stomachaches, cramps, gas and bloating.

Olive oil is made from the fruit of the olive tree, Olea europaea which is naturally high in healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs). Olive oil helps to protect heart and brain health, as well as fight mood disorders and depression.

Menthol, also called peppermint camphor, has a strong minty, cooling odor and taste. Menthol crystals are commonly used for cosmetics, medicated creams, cooling gels, toothpaste, mouthwash, and more.
