Habanero (Capsicum chinense)
A member of the nightshade family, contains capsaicin. Capsaicin is very beneficial and supports both the immune and cardiovascular system. It has been used for inflammation, ulcers, circulation, boosts metabolism, nerve and joint pain.
Many have commented on how this tincture used in a hot herbal tea will really clear the sinuses and works well during allergy season.
Habanero peppers bright red color signals its high content of beta-caroten or pro-vitamin A.
This tincture goes very well in hot coffee and in hot chocolate. It can be used in cold beverages but may seem a bit confusing to the senses because of the heat sensation in an iced beverage.
The Habanero Tincture can additionally be used as a topical with care. You may apply a few drops at a time to swollen joints or cold extremities. A full dropper full may be added to a foot bath to soak in and help with circulation. The tincture will not burn the skin physically but could be activated through warmth from the sun or sweating.
Do not use a heating pad with this product as a topical as it could be overwhelming. Habanero tincture will stain clothing, so please take care.
Contradictions – Habanero tincture is not to be taken if pregnant, not for young children, ACE inhibiters, antacides or if you suffer from IBS. Please be very careful when handling this product as it will sting sensitive skin areas such as eyes, nose and lips. Please speak with your heath care professional in regards to Habanero and any prescription drugs that you may be taking. Please keep out of reach from children and pets.
Recommended Dosage: 1 ounce with glass dropper bottle with an indefinite shelf life to be kept at room temperature.
Use "just" 5 to 10 "drops" in a beverage daily for maintenance. Can be taken up to 3 times daily depending on how it reacts with your digestion. Curative high doses are for short term only.
