Wild-Crafted White Willow Bark Tincture | Salix Alba | Traditional Wellness Support

Nature's Original Source of Salicin - The Historical Root of Aspirin - In Organic Grain Alcohol - Zero Additives - Zero Fillers - Zero Binders

Available in 1oz, 2oz & 4oz Amber Glass Dropper Bottles

Long before the modern medicine cabinet, there was White Willow Bark. Dating back to the time of Hippocrates in ancient Greece, people chewed the bark of the white willow tree (Salix alba) as a traditional remedy, and Native American healers independently discovered the same use for native willow species centuries later. This long history eventually led 19th-century chemists to isolate and study salicin, the bark's naturally occurring compound, ultimately inspiring the development of acetylsalicylic acid, the active ingredient in modern aspirin. White Willow Bark remains one of the clearest examples of how traditional herbal wisdom has shaped modern medicine. Our tincture is made from 100% wild-crafted White Willow Bark, preserved in organic grain alcohol with nothing else added.

Herbal Ingredient

  • 100% Wild-Crafted White Willow Bark (Salix alba)
Native to Europe, Central Asia, and Northern Africa, White Willow is a member of the Salicaceae plant family. Its bark naturally contains salicin, along with polyphenolic glycosides and flavonoids — naturally occurring antioxidant compounds traditionally associated with supporting the body's defense against oxidative stress. Unlike isolated pharmaceutical aspirin, White Willow Bark contains its full spectrum of naturally occurring plant compounds, and traditional use suggests its effects tend to have a more gradual onset and longer duration.

How to Use

Recommended Dosage: Take 1 dropperful, up to 3 times daily, under the tongue or in juice or water. Avoid taking in the late afternoon or evening. Shake well before use.

Please Note: Keep away from eyes and out of the reach of children. This tincture is preserved in organic grain alcohol.

Traditional Wellness Uses

  • Antioxidant Support — The polyphenolic glycosides and flavonoids naturally found in White Willow Bark have traditionally been valued for supporting the body's natural antioxidant activity, including glutathione.
  • Comfort & Recovery Support — White Willow Bark has one of the longest documented traditional histories of any botanical for supporting physical comfort, used since the time of Hippocrates.
  • Active Lifestyle Support — Some athletes traditionally use White Willow Bark extract as part of their recovery routine, anecdotally associated with supporting comfortable movement and easing the fatigue that can follow physical exertion.
  • Mood & Everyday Comfort — Traditionally associated with supporting a sense of everyday comfort and well-being.

Important Safety InformationWhite Willow Bark naturally contains salicin, which the body converts into salicylic acid, the same family of compounds found in aspirin. Because of this, White Willow Bark carries safety considerations very similar to aspirin. Please review the following carefully before use.
  • Not for use in children or teenagers under 18. Like aspirin, White Willow Bark carries a theoretical risk of Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious condition, particularly when given to children or teens with viral illnesses such as the flu or chicken pox.
  • Aspirin allergy or salicylate sensitivity: Do not use this product if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to aspirin or other salicylates. Allergic reactions can range from mild skin reactions to severe, including anaphylaxis in rare cases.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as salicylates cross the placenta and safety has not been established for these populations.
  • Bleeding disorders and blood-thinning medications: White Willow Bark may affect blood clotting. Use caution and consult your healthcare provider if you have a bleeding disorder or take anticoagulant medications such as warfarin.
  • Do not combine with aspirin, NSAIDs, or other salicylate-containing products, as this increases the risk of side effects.
  • Kidney disease, liver disease, ulcers, or asthma: Consult your healthcare provider before use if you have any of these conditions.
  • Other medication interactions: White Willow Bark may interact with methotrexate, phenytoin, probenecid, spironolactone, valproate, and metoclopramide. Consult your healthcare provider before use if you take any of these.
  • Discontinue use at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery, due to potential effects on bleeding.
  • High doses may increase the risk of bleeding disorders, kidney effects, stomach upset, and skin irritation. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Safety Note: As is the case with taking any supplement while you are pregnant or breastfeeding or taking medication, you should always consult your healthcare professional prior to usage.
