Collection: Detox & Cleanses

"Detox" gets used loosely everywhere, so here's what it actually means in this collection: herbs traditionally used to support the organs your body already uses to clear waste on its own — liver, kidneys, digestive tract, lymphatic system, and skin. Nothing here claims to flush toxins out for you. The traditional role of these herbs is to support the systems that were already doing that job, so they can do it well.

Everyday Support vs. Structured Cleanse Protocols

This collection holds two different kinds of products, and it's worth knowing which is which. Gentle, everyday herbs — dandelion root, milk thistle, spirulina, wheatgrass — are traditionally used as ongoing daily support, the kind of herb you could take for a long stretch without a second thought. Structured cleanse herbs — wormwood, cascara sagrada, our binders, and the kits built around them — are traditionally used in short, deliberate windows, not as a daily habit. Each listing tells you which category it falls into and for how long it's traditionally used.

Working With a Binder

If you're working with a binder taken internally (zeolite, chlorella, or activated charcoal), remember the golden rule: choose one binder at a time, and take it 1–2 hours away from any medications or other herbs. Binders aren't selective — they'll bind whatever's in the gut at the time, medication included. Full protocol details are on each individual listing.

Our Bentonite Clay is not food-grade and is intended for external use only, as a facial mask — it isn't part of the internal binder protocol above and doesn't follow the same rules.
