Chaparral, also known as the creosote bush and Larrea Tridentata is an evergreen shrub growing from 1-3 meters tall. The stems of the plant consist of sticky, dark green leaves with two opposite lanceolate leaflets which are joined at the base. The flowers it produces consist of five yellow petals. The whole plant exhibits a unique odor of creosote (a brownish oily liquid). It grows in desert regions, including those of the Southwestern United States, South America, and Northern Mexico.

Creosote is used traditionally to help treat various different illnesses including urinary tract infections, kidney problems, gallstones, rheumatism, arthritis, tumors, paralysis, skin injuries, tuberculosis, dandruff, wounds, stomach ailments, diarrhea, and toothaches.

Recommended Dosage: 2  capsules three times a day as a normal dose. 

This herb may cause serious side effects like skin reactions and kidney and liver damage, though they are less common. Other side effects include stomach pain, weight loss, nausea, diarrhea, and fever.
